I just finished.. well almost.. on a Gateway computer and right after the guy with the hammer finished, my game locked up and I had to move my file to my Dell desktop for the needed submission file.
I have the same problem... an I7 Lenovo that freezes up and won't flip to the next year.. I know I have to save and go to an old computer for the final + 1 for victory submission.
It is not a wonder addiction to get the ToA. When trying to get as much territory for the least amount of input a great leader will have the affect of doubling the amount of territory under the control of your empire without the need of building and marching as many settlers to fill the 66%...
I believe that the type of victory condition you wish to achieve will determine the improvements required.
My favourite objective is Domination. I build a granary in my capital and one or two barrack cities that specialize in making my military units. Temples allow the expansion of a city so...
IT WORKS....
I do not know where the files installed but after many trials and errors it works..
Now how to end the dreaded whiteout at the end...
Thank you all :king: ... Now back to some serious time wasting...
No compatibility file on my I-5 dell..
And no screenRes file but it loads automatically into wide screen...
Now for help with the Civassist II link..??
I checked and it did not revert.
is there more than one location where a screen res command can be entered?
When I compare my Dell it does not show "Compatibility files" while my Lenovo does.
Both run MS7 home premium editions.
I was able to add the screen res command so that the game now plays full screen but the ending sequence all reverts to black side bars (not full screen) and freezes up as it enters the year after the finish which is required for submitting my games.
I also can't get Civassist 2 to...
Thanks so far.. The resolution is the same as the game sets up.
Civ Assist won't run???
Someone else might have a solution eventually
For now I have to go to a different computer to finish a game prior to the ending crash..
I have a problem accessing this site from another computer because I didn't remember the password and email account change I made..
The problem with so many hints is that looking up the files requires one to look at compatibility folders...
Extensions are not added for computer-challenged...
I have been playing Civ III for a decade now and continue to learn with each game.
I like playing Pangaea maps because Wonders apply only to the main continent.
Your starting position is very important. For research and growth always pick a river location. I pick only the lowest level of...
I had no problem getting Civ III running after changing the Lsans file but where do I find the .Ini file?
One problem I'm having with My Lenovo I7 is that the game crashes at the finish... the one celebrating the victory and I get a white screen and the game has stopped working notification.
This game was awesome! I manually look for good map starts, cow(s) and a nearby goodie hut are essential. I use my worker to pop the gh and if I don't get a second settler I move on to another map. I research Mysticism at 100% and make four warriors to explore. I usually get most of 1st tier...
