Thanks! Yeah, if I need to up the difficulty to help the AI, then leaning fully into it, and just playing the Aztecs or the Celts with their aggressive pantheon could be the most fun options.

    Quick Questions / Quick Answers

Two questions about Raging Barbarians if there's anyone who plays it, which its been literally years and years since I've tried. 1. Anyone particularly fun to play with the setting? The Aztecs are almost certainly too good, but what about the other nations with early uniques? I play with 4UC so...

[Extension] Enlightenment Era for VP (4.22)

I don't think I can help, the first two times I loaded, Licorne was at Flintlock for me, but it was never at Metallurgy, so I don't know. Sorry!

[Extension] Enlightenment Era for VP (4.22)

Ok, I reloaded, and ignore my previous post. Licorne is now on Strongholds, not Flintlock. Salon, meanwhile, replaces Gallery not Museum. Not sure why thinks didn't work right at first, but they seem to be now. Oops!

[Extension] Enlightenment Era for VP (4.22)

I'm so excited to try this! The game stops being as fun for me when its gets to airplanes, so anything that postpones that for instead more flavorful stuff is a delight! I did notice though, that the Salon France gets in 4UC is still at Architecture meaning its 4 tech lines before the Museum...

    [Extension] Hokath's Changes

Okay, so I think in the Authority idea, the 'main culture generator' is really supposed to be building units. Problem is, and I hope this doesn't seem arrogant, at least on the slower speeds, I think the human just needs to replace their units less frequently than the AI, especially an AI...

    [Extension] Hokath's Changes

Forgot to mention that the siege unit change makes things much less frustrating, but also seems to make conquest, especially earlyish conquest much easier. Also, not sure if the AI knows how to react to it, but that would probably take changes in the main mod itself.

    [Extension] Hokath's Changes

Don't know if you remember me from wayback, but I just played my first two games in pretty close to a decade, both with this modmod included. First thing I'm going to say is espionage is way better now, and scouting is way better now. I remember crazy leveled up Paratroopers being real weapons...

    Vox Populi Mod List

Is it really true that 4UC requires Events enabled? I've been playing with them disabled, and haven't encountered an issue, but then I haven't read thru all 86 new uniques.

Camels Invent Things: A Portugal Photojournal

If Tradition France into later warring is a choice, that would be fun. I don't think I'd be picking Rationalism with that tho. So if not, I vote for anybody-but-Arabia.

Camels Invent Things: A Portugal Photojournal

Yeah, that is right in his zone. Would be hard to both defend it and keep the pressure on Alex. I do still think it would work out, like Owl says, I just never see Gandhi attack. Kinda annoying actually, cause one thing he does do is get himself Defensive Pacts. But probably not worth the risk...

[Extension] 3rd and 4th Unique Components for VP - Official thread

Yup. Unless you get them very early, Shoshone are one of the five hardest conquests in the game for sure. The main downside of playing India is you're guaranteed to not get them as a neighbor lol. Thanks for making out a list for me! Would maybe go China and the Frigate, except...I didn't...

Camels Invent Things: A Portugal Photojournal

Does India ever attack there? Unless I was doing Owl's 'everything has to be guaranteed to work' thing I wouldn't worry about territorial disputes with Gandhi. But good to know this isn't normal.

[Extension] 3rd and 4th Unique Components for VP - Official thread

Got a really bad start for Authority and conquering and should have just played safe, but it doesn't matter I had so much fun killing everything I could manage to find with the Dhanurgraha. Delightful. Might quit before I get to the Qila as the only neighbor I have to conquer is a very hilly...

Camels Invent Things: A Portugal Photojournal

Is it normal on Standard to be so far along and only have two of your own cities? Is that just what it takes to build all those Wonders? Was the plan all along to take whatever Greece and India brought you, Venice style?
