Yup, worked quite well, though I got beaten to Philosphy. Helped that I only had 2 civs on my continent. Another question is it better to wait until Marketplaces etc are up before changing to The Republic or to change to it as soon as you get The Republic?

No, wasnt too bad. A mid size continent southwards with the Portugese and Koreans. Just spaced CXC on my wee Island, which had both Horses and Iron, then upgraded Curragh's and hit the continent with Swordsmen and Horses.:) I'll jump Palace to that Continent.

Create big ugly maps. Every civ packed in like Sardines. Overlapping cities and borders. I mostly play random so I can get a feel for all of them, but Im never playing Pangaea again. I hate them, I tell's ya.:mad:
