I tried Prince once and got accutely owned by Barbs. So I went anti-barb asap in a second game and found I was way behind other civs by the time I had the barbs handled. Then the Aztechs asked me for my testicles and nipples. Plus 140 gold. And I was like, no way am I giving these guys...

I've noticed when playing that there are varying outputs for the square where the settlement is on. Something like, 2hammer, 2food, 1commerce vs. 1hammer, 2food, 1commerce, etc. I'm not sure if I've seen a 1 food variation. But anyway... ...what are the determining factors?

Um, is there a list somehwere that shows what Civs start with what starting units? Obviously, you'd get a Settler. The other is either scout or warrior. Questions is for the latter civ inclination, not the former. Unless its all random.
