One of the best is to take a pair (or more pairs) of keys out of the keyboard, then switch their places. People usually figure out something's wrong, but not quite what is it.

I actually like this kind of pictures. Their stupidity makes them funny. The thing is, the extra text actually makes fun of the picture, trying to point out the stupidity of the text, not adding to it. Which is cool.

I don't think that would be easy to do, as there are many repositories with even more mirrors. If you feel like it, you can probably download it, but not install it and rather use the repo version.

That's kinda true. Ubuntu is (supposedly) their baby, and the others are byproducts. KDE4 deals with desktop icons in a different way than kde3/windows/anything else. They're widgets, not files, and that's why there were problems with transition. It's worth noting that KDE4 is not really...

I'm running Kubuntu Hardy as well, and it all looks fine. There were some problems with ATI graphics in the beta version, but they're fixed now. BTW, if you hate Gnome brown, why not try KDE blue?

I use VLC in fullscreen mode on a regular basis. Switching between windowed and fullscreen couldn't be easier (double click), and I don't really know what movable panel you have in mind. Also, what's LMB?
