Just want to chime in with some wholehearted agreement. I too recently tried some expansionist civs after reading about the advantages of the trait on the forums. I've had the similar success to yours. The trick, of course, is to make that early advantage stick.

Thanks for the answers! I was jonesin' to try the new civs and some of the interface enhancements. For an artillery addict like myself, the command to have an entire stack bombard is worth it almost by itself.

I have tried to find an answer to this question, but it seems to be assumed as common knowledge. If that's the case, forgive my ignorant question, but: 1. Can Play the World be played in singleplayer mode? 2. If so, is it worth having, or is plain vanilla Civ 3 considered a better...
