How was my post in any way suggesting the October 7th attacks didn't happen? I was simply saying that people abducted by Israel should be described using the same terminology as those abducted by Hamas. If you're going to call the latter hostages - which, for the record, I would completely agree...

It's definitely a good thing for these people to be released, but the wording in that quote.... The Israelis held captive by Hamas are "hostages", but the Palestinians held captive by Israel are "detainees held without charge". I know it's nothing new, but it really shows the double standards...
