I'm running win98 and still get the problem of the game crashing after a certain point. However, I don't receive the civillization3.e.exe error. Also, I haven't downloaded any cracks...just some graphical mods. Hmm, maybe it could be that.

I got it offered once. In my first complete game. But the city was so corrupt that I passed on it. I was also in a war so I needed more units.
