Canada - The True North, Strong and Free (v2)

LOL, funny how it's so hard to pick which good, er, bad Trudeau there is for leader hehe. But that's my opinion. Arrow was a good pick, and peace keeper isn't bad either, although a building might have been better like Microwave tower (replacement for broadcast tower) or Dew Line (replaces...

Basic Guide to Peaceful Cultural Victory?

I like reading about how people achieve their victories, but I rarely follow them myself. I find games more fun if I'm always thinking rather than just following a map from A to B. Some people say OCC is the best, but it's darn hard to finish in enough time with just one city. I think 3 or 4...

    Whenever the computer plays Mongolian...

If you're not building siege in Civ IV, you're simply not playing to win.... :D Honestly, I remember rage quitting the game when I clearly wasn't thinking and not building catapults or something of their ilk. I guess I was spoiled by Civ V's simple approach to war.

Is there still people playing civ 4?

All silliness aside, I would have been more forgiving of Civ V had it not been so aggresively attached to Steam, which is why I still love my other Civ games, as they remind me that I alone control my gaming destiny! Cheers! :D

Is there still people playing civ 4?

That's because most people like to be seen as positive :) and not negative  in wherever or whatever they are hehe. Heck, even I catch myself doing it sometimes! :D

Is there still people playing civ 4?

Interesting point, but will that actually keep the developers from making more sequels? I think not. Most game developers will bat their eyes and keep "moving forward" with other ideas, totally ignoring the audience in favour of their superior business model. Afterall, gaming is a money-making...

Is there still people playing civ 4?

I've played the Civ series since good ole Civ II. I played Civ III but wasn't too thrilled. When Civ IV reared it's head, I was quite impressed and found it a worthy successor to the previous games. Warlords was ok, but BTS was far and above the better expansion. In summary, there is more for me...

What gives you Civ4 gamer rage?

I think that about sums it up, this and Apostolic Palace. Controls are still a nuisance aka nightmare, and the AP just gets in the way of my style of play. I like the game, but it's the little nitpicky details that can ruin it for me sometimes. I voted the AP since I either get it 50% of the...

Name Your Top 5 (Restricted) Leaders.

Rome and England will always be my favorites, in particular, Julius Caesar and Elizabeth respectively as leaders. I always love those two the most. I don't mind Augustus, Victoria, or Churchill either, it helps to be at least a little different in approach to the same civs, but JC and Liz will...

    Best civilizations

Rome is one of my favorites, with Julius Caesar. India is very good too, hard to go wrong with fast workers and Ghandi. England and Elizabeth cannot be denied either. I still not the best at the game, but I'm trying out different civs as well. I hear that Germany, Holland, Ottomans, and the...

For you, what would be the most important technology in the game?

Obviously, everyone has an opinion of what THE TECH actually is! :D Honestly though, games are smoother when they start out researching bronze working, probably the most important early tech to go for bar none. So I pick bronze working as the most important tech. Cheers... :)

    Your list of G&K civs

I don't mind the Austrian UA, but they could just implement an increase in cost for every additional marriage after the first initial one.

Is there a way for a city to not make anything?

Hummmm, I don't remember when I ever had a city that I didn't want to make something in it.... maybe my Capital just before I wanted to build spaceship parts perhaps? :D I Usually set it to gold or science by then to get out the last few techs.

Strategy for tundra starts and other questions

I tend to not reroll maps a lot, and I do often get a lot of tundra and/or even ice maps more than I care too. However, people are right, religion does make these so called "bad" starts a bit more easier to swallow.

Wonders that look best on the map

Actually I always liked wonders build in the water. The pyramids and stonehenge for me, or an ocean built Colossus! :D
