I like reading about how people achieve their victories, but I rarely follow them myself. I find games more fun if I'm always thinking rather than just following a map from A to B. Some people say OCC is the best, but it's darn hard to finish in enough time with just one city. I think 3 or 4...

If you're not building siege in Civ IV, you're simply not playing to win.... :D Honestly, I remember rage quitting the game when I clearly wasn't thinking and not building catapults or something of their ilk. I guess I was spoiled by Civ V's simple approach to war.

All silliness aside, I would have been more forgiving of Civ V had it not been so aggresively attached to Steam, which is why I still love my other Civ games, as they remind me that I alone control my gaming destiny! Cheers! :D

That's because most people like to be seen as positive :) and not negative :mad: in wherever or whatever they are hehe. Heck, even I catch myself doing it sometimes! :D

Interesting point, but will that actually keep the developers from making more sequels? I think not. Most game developers will bat their eyes and keep "moving forward" with other ideas, totally ignoring the audience in favour of their superior business model. Afterall, gaming is a money-making...

I tend to not reroll maps a lot, and I do often get a lot of tundra and/or even ice maps more than I care too. However, people are right, religion does make these so called "bad" starts a bit more easier to swallow.

Actually I always liked wonders build in the water. The pyramids and stonehenge for me, or an ocean built Colossus! :D
