As Portugal basically w/ 1cc I was producing ~850 tourism a turn - past the year 2k - with an AI civ (the Netherlands) at 6 of 7 on Science Victory. I was forced to take a Diplo win (38 delegates - needed 37) to avoid losing to the AI [Emperor].

Two wins now, first as Poland (Diplo - King) and then as Portugal (Diplo - Emperor). Both were basically 1cc... The AI dow'ed on me plenty but, it's super easy to fend them off as the AI sucks at micro'ing its invasion forces. The tenet of Freedom which gives 6 foreign legions is nice too, when...

I dislike all of the new civs.... except Shoshone which is broken. Part of the problem is I like Science or Culture, so the old france, current Babylon and Korea, and a couple other similarly minded Civs tend to be my preference.

Do you still get credit for the 1cc win?

I got the "win as Poland" achievement.

I finished the Patronage tree at some point, but I do not believe that I had finished it at that point. I'm not 100% sure though, it is possible.
