I dont know, in terms of proportion of population killed and destruction of society the dark ages and the black death are up there.

I just get sick of hearing about world war 2 and the 'greatest generation' crap. I realize that its probably cheap to do and stuff but there's so much more to history than the insane minutia of world war 2.

As a history major I am sick and tired of the ww2 channel... err I mean "history" channel. Everywhere I look in the modern culture where history is invoked it seems everyone romanticizes ww2 insanely. The history channel is 15% TLC crap (not really history) 40% WW2 10% Civil War and the rest...
