Oh, after poking through older Event logs, it looks like D3D9.dll and one of my (ATi) graphics driver DLLs were involved. No idea if that'll help anyone looking at this or not. :D

I've been trying to get back into playing Orbis, but it gets difficult when the application crashes at random intervals. :lol: Basically removed Civ4/Warlords/BTS, defragged, updated graphics drivers, then followed the helpful "How to install in Win 7" thread here. Everything was working...
