True. I think adding food to all rainforest in your empire solves this problem. Still that won't make it op anyway, the wonder gets obsolete fairly fast, plus there aren't many resources on rainforest tiles in the map

It would make the capital more productive for sure, but the main issue is that you will never gonna build that there in the first place due to its massive cost (if you wanna go for the uhv).

The floating gardens (which is another amerindian wonder) alone provides +6 food to its city, being at least 2x more effective than the temple in its current condition.
