I've recently picked up a collection of 50 documentaries made during the war. I've watched about a 1/4 of them so far. Strange looking back at how the Army/Navy/Air Force portrayed themselves back then. Going on about how the US was winning the war and would continue...
As is the case with all of your efforts, they are well worth the wait.
What I can't wait for though is another round of AOI. Time to start a new game. I've been sampling some of the other fine scenarios here the last while, but its time to return to the best.
I agree with Ares de Borg. As much as I want to get my hands on this update, I'm willing to wait for the new units. El Justo is already beginning to look elsewhere, i.e. The Vietnam War Deluxe, which suggests it will be some time (if at all) before he goes to work on another update to this...

The idea of using it to balance the AI, particularly on the naval side, is intriguing. While El Justo has done a fantastic job with ensuring that the AI make somewhat realistic build choices, there seems to be a point in each game were the AI...
Perhaps have the Wooden ships auto-produced. If you would rather that not continue late into the game, have the wonder/improvement become obsolete at some point.

That is good news! I was concerned about how much the additional cites would impact turn times as well. Your decision to concentrate on the game play at this point is the way to go, the civp can wait some.
I'm anxiously awaiting this update almost as much as I did Ver 4.0!
I think that the changes to the civ's, the added cities and the removal of the unit limit are all going to create some new and interesting wrinkles that make this more of a must play than it already is.
