Are there aliens which have not been revealed yet?

It'd be kinda fun if the wolf beetle had a xenomorph cousin. The cause damage upon death (acid blood) is already in BE, and the ability to convert enemy units to your side upon killing them was in Civ 5. Maybe the script is still in there? Bonus points if one species of wolf beetle spawned on...

    Any news on the AI?

In Majinns stream it looked like there were a few changes, at least. If you're blocking one of their settlers with a wall of units, the ai is more likely to plop down a city where they can rather than stay in one spot waiting for you to move or wander away. Of course, we also saw one trying to...

Are aliens too similar to barbarians?

Not so much a difference and more of an early/mid game thing, but I did like what Maddjin called the wildlands, where there may be regions of a map abundant in resources but crawling with alien life. As for evolving aliens, it should be said that evolution does not equal intelligence...

I wonder if we can plant spies in stations, since they're basically the replacement for city states. It'd be cool if we could get a spy mission to make a trade route fail or make a station leave. As for Adapt Blue, while it probably is op (from what we've seen at least), I wouldn't want to...

    Helicopters & Submarines

Can you build drones later on, or can you just get one if you're lucky? They're kinda like a helicopter, just, well, alive and stuff. From a non-gameplay standpoint, you could not pay me enough money to get inside a sub when there are kraken and sea-dragons swimming around.

Then what? If it really is obviously over powered when compared to the rest of the game like you say, then why did they decide to show it off in a twitch game? It's not like it got sneaked in under the radar. For all we know, it could have already been changed removed too. I'm not saying...

Is having to adapt to the ebb and flow of the game a bad thing? By trading with Adapt Blue, the enemy is using that trade convoy when they could be trading with a different station that provides something else and has the ability to level up as they trade with it. Have we seen any tier 3...

And with tech coming in through your agents, you can focus your industry on other things since you're outsourcing your science production. The extreme need for beakers in Civ 5 may have been curved with the web too, and a free tech from a station every x amount of turns might not be as game...

    Poll: Best Colonists

I'm liking Aristocrat right now. Trade routes to the stations don't always give energy like they did in Civ 5, rather they tend to give you science, culture, ex. A more durable economy will go a long way I think.

From what I've seen, Adapt Blue seems to be in the realm of balanced. If worst comes to worse and a rival civ gets Adapt Blue in a place you can't reach to destroy, you could plop a spy or two in some of their cities and lift the techs just as fast as they get them. Can't say for sure till I...

I hope the game isn't boring for returning Civfanatics

I understand it'd be hard. From the beginning having unique units/mechanics that synergies civs and affinities in large visual ways was just what I'd like to see, not what I need to see. Sure, I'm slightly worried affinities will overshadow our civ, but the subtle synergies are there, and I'm...

    Unique Video Discussing Civ: BE

Flanking, as I understand it and if it's like Civ 5, doesn't actually require you to get around and attack from the rear. http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Flank_attack_%28Civ5%29 You could have two units next to each other attacking an enemy, and still get the flanking bonus, again at least...

I hope the game isn't boring for returning Civfanatics

But any harmony civ can attack with siege worms, just not as often. It's a subtle difference, and I can dig that nuance in game strategy, I just would like to see a little more synergy. Like, the ARC could, instead of a straight up coup - they would instead try to unleash some kinda sifi mind...

I hope the game isn't boring for returning Civfanatics

They are different, never said they weren't. But they do share similarities, more-so than other victory types. I'm not twisting facts to fit my argument, especially when I'm in pretty high spirits for this game. Just stating a possibility. But each civ will have access to those same...

I hope the game isn't boring for returning Civfanatics

I got that the three affinity victories were different, just assuming that in a general game you won't shoot for one affinity victory with a second affinity victory as backup. It really boils down to contact for me. If it's an interesting iteration of a cultural victory using that quest system...
