Yeah, this has been reported before. But I agree with you -- it would be a cool feature that you can enter hostile borders... it just starts war. It would be a lot easier than navigating the dipolmacy screen.

I don't know an exact number, but I know I've had over 6,000 in the bank on settler level. What level are you playing at?

I would suggest (and bear in mind I'm still getting the ropes of the games and my strategies will probably suck) getting missionaries of your religion over to the mainland, scout out the civ(s) you want to take over, launch a coastal barricade, and when you feel you have enough transports of...

Runs fine for me. Use low graphics setting, and the game's pretty stable. I've used the art unpak fix for movies.

I don't know of one, but I agree with you -- it's stupid to have to restart to load a mod.

I've built the spaceship. You see a short movie of the spaceship orbiting a planet, crew waking up and someone looking out the window onto the new solar system.

having it on another drive shouldn't impact whether you can access the song files. Try going to my documents\my games\firaxis et al and see if perhaps they were placed there. Do you have the song files from the other eras?

I have a little over 512 meg RAM, and I run on low graphics, and I can play for hours. However, I too would also suggest that if you have another fifty dollers to get more RAM -- you'll (probably) be able to play on 512, but 1 gig is better. Just my two cents.

What about those of us who have >100 posts and come on here to better their playing of the game? Can we stay?

Air units or coastal bombardment, maybe. I did the same thing in one of my games - build a city on a one tile island to prevent an enemy from claiming the land. I won before I could see what happened to it though.
