Combat does have a random element. Theres a dice roll, then the units strenght is added along with all the other combat modifiers and penlties and stuff.
So even if you have a advantage theres still that chance you may lose.
Well, if a civ sees a great oppertunity to attack you they probley will. Plus theres a chance they'll attack on any turn if you look at the XML files for the character leaders theres a little thing that says how likely they are to attack you out of the blue.
I allways imagined the units as armys, my 3 musketmen is a full army of musketmen. They go into a city guarded by archers, sure theyed easly beat a army of archers in a open feild. But in a city, they go in think they win only to find the archers popping out of windows releasing hails of arrows...
If you really want to get "THIS ISNT REAL ENOUGH!" how do leaders live for some 4050 years with out aging a bit!?!? i want what ever face cream isabella uses to stay so young.
I want to see some fantasy civs you know. The authrurians, king auther and all. Knight of the round tablet speical unit that sort of thing. And i think adding speical buildings would be super neat. But real civs id like to see the mexicans, tailand, and king tut added to the egyptains.
