The Daily Telegraph website linked to these co-ordinates, though I can't seem to find the original article anymore: 34°10'9.72"N 73°14'32.95"E

    Ask A Catholic II

That's rather like asking why Manhattan is in New York and not Copenhagen :p I suspect you meant to ask why the the Bishop of Rome, and not the Patriarch of Jerusalem, is the Pope. Its because St. Peter, the first Pope came to Rome and was martyred there, so all the Popes have been the Bishop...

Mother Teresa has not been canonized, only beatified, so she is Blessed, but not a Saint. Many people have a devotion to her since her death and ask for her intercession, and out of all those prayers there have been quite a few cases where the intercession was clear enough for a claim of miracle...

    Ask a Mormon, Part 4

How do Mormons do catechism? A Mormon friend of mine told me that he has a two hour session every morning when his parents catechize him and all his siblings. Is this a widespread practice or just found amongst the especially devout?

I think there might be some confusion here due to a failure to distinguish between those who reject the Church and those who are visibly outside it. If one rejects the Church, one is condemned by Extra ecclesiam, but that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone who is visibly outside the Church...

Essentially that turning your back on the Church will deny you salvation. As I said, there is the exception for invincible ignorance, where those who do not know of Christ are not to be judged for it. Vatican II's Lumen Gentium phrased it as There may be something that I'm missing here...

If you die without repenting your mortal sins, you cannot be saved. That said, you should obviously strive to avoid sin at every turn so that you can love God fully, which is what I was getting at in my post. I don't think that most Christians dispute this, no? Maybe they do. All I was trying to...

    Ask A Catholic

I would doubt that there is an authoritative declaration on this, since I've seen a variety of opinions amongst Catholic writers. I personally don't believe in a literal fire, and take it to mean "unbelievably horrific suffering that you will always regret having gotten into". At a somewhat...

As closely as I can, but that's because it fascinates me. Ofcourse, conclaves never happen on a day's notice, so I suspect that most people just catch up on who is a favored candidate during the sedevacante. No, since we are praying for their intercession, and not worshiping them as we worship...

To Ottoman Empire, Quadruple Alliance From Austria-Hungary Austria-Hungary has no objections to the Ottoman Empire entering the Quadruple Alliance. However, we do suggest that if this happens, it shall be renamed 'the Grand Alliance'.
