tried reinstalling... same thing happening. though it only happens after i put the 3.17 patch in. no patch, and the game runs fine. and no, there's no error. it will load until init xml (uncached) and then it will just close. so frustrating.

none at all. it just gets to that step and crashes to the desktop. i think i might just have to try a reinstall and hope for the best :S

so, i recently installed civ 4 again, and warlords, and beyond the sword, and i have patch 1.74 in for civ and 3.17 in for BTS, but when i try to start the game, the loading screen loads until "init xml (uncached)' and the program just crashes back to my desktop. how come i can't play civ anymore?

every time i try to run the modpack manager, i get an error message telling me that 'windows can't find VBRUN300.DLL which is required to run this program.' will someone please tell me what to do so i can run the modpack manager?
