I've found it is easiest in longer games. It gives me enough time to build up a larch enough force to steam roll the entire map.

Hey everyone, first post here. I first played civilization on playstation and fell in love with it. I didn't have a computer at the time so yes, I played with the playstation controller. The end game where cpu turns would go for minutes were also excruciating but worth it.
