Europa Universalis 3 had something like this - not AI generated though - which was a neat bit of small flavor. I could only find a picture of it with an error alas but it looked like this:
Obviously a bit clunky, but I think it could work well without having to resort to LLMs.
Thanks for the mention, J51!
Rosetta has been a lot of work (even after building off the Civ6 version), so I can see why Firaxis wouldn't want to open up that can of worms. That being said - I'd happily grovel for a way to rename AI cities, as it currently does not appear to be possible...
Fixed some broken dotted characters in city names.
Added option to exempt certain civs from time-based naming in certain situations. In this case, preventing older names from being used for the Greek and Han civs.
Hmm - guess I'll have to do some more tests on the dots - thanks so much for reporting these!
Relatedly, if anyone has any good screenshots from using this mod, please feel free to post them here! I'd like to gather some more for the main post!
Fixed error where some languages were getting cutoff in the files
Re-added in some special characters that had support added
TO-DO: Still need to add time-based override option for some languages (Han Chinese, Classical Greek, etc.)
