Same. I always ignore Alliances when the AI requests them because the second I accept one, I immediately get drawn into a war I’m not interested in being a part of.
I’ve been meaning to post the same thing but I was too embarrassed. Thank you for breaking the ice for people like me who weren’t brave enough to admit it.
That’s odd 🤔 After having this discussion with you, Boris, my daughter and I started a game together on a Standard size map and we got 5 civs in the Homeland and 3 in the Distant Lands. She also chose a Fractal map for us, while I realized that all my games had been on the YnAMP Continents ++...
I almost always pay the 20 Influence hit for a friendly greeting. The only time I don’t is when I’m trying for a Military victory and I want to try to goad civs into starting a war with me. But I usually don’t pursue that victory condition.
Is that how it works? I feel like, when I play on a Small map, there are 4 civs on Homeland and 2 civs on Distant Lands. When I play on a Standard map, they're split 4 and 4. I've yet to play larger size maps, so maybe that's where the 5 comes in.
I feel like a complete noob, but I’m still using CivMods because I can’t get the Steam Workshop to work. I’ve Subscribed to a couple mods on it, but they don’t show up on my mod list in the game.
They also don’t show up in the mod folder either.
How did you find a Thera with Coastal tiles around it? Every time I see it, there are Ocean tiles around it which hinders circumnavigation of the continent in the Ancient Era. Unless that’s because I had been using YnAMP ….🤔
I second this. I recently had a game in which I wanted to build a town on a tile where one of my suzerain-ed City States had a unit parked (right side of picture). I thought I could Levy the unit and then move my settler onto the tile and build the city. But, alas, while I could choose the...
Why is Queen Victoria?
When is Queen Victoria?
Where is Queen Victoria?
How is Queen Victoria?
I'd love to go on Jeopardy just so I can give the answers in the form of questions other than "Who" and "What."
I was recently playing a game with the Continents++ map from YNAMP, and sometimes the map generation accidentally gives coastal tiles that allow access to Distant Lands in the Ancient Era. I tried to send a Settler over to the island to found a city, but the game wouldn’t let me disembark...
I wonder if the reason you can’t close the window, check the map, and come back again is because the peace deals happen BETWEEN turns, not on YOUR turn. Therefore, it won’t show up back on the “turn action wheel” in the bottom right corner.
It should, in my opinion - maybe some kind of...
