I play SE initially, however I normally change over to cottages when the growth rate is increased, only keeping a single SE city to pump out the specialists.
I would build 3. NE of the horse, NE of the corn and W of the copper. The reasoning being that all have an excellent food resource and the one NE of the horse, although likely to be small will be valuable in the early years if you can run a few specialists.
The samurai gets my vote - excellent for attacking bow units whereas the Beserker is a poor UU in my opinion and I agree that the best thing going for it is the fact that the amphib promo is kept through upgrade.
I also agree that Viking galleys should have some sort of ocean going...

I feel that the greatest civs are those that have had the most effect on the world for the most time.
Therefore America certainly isn't included. How long has it been in existence. Nuff said without going any further.

I remember whales being a very desirable tile as well. Now in Civ 4 they aren't worth the bother. The tile should be better eg +2 food extra +2 hammer extra.
I like all resources to be worth going to war for and unfortunately the whale is not a resource I would go to war for.
There is no auto attack
You need to turn on the "see enemy moves" option
and have enough units to "see" all the squares round your target.
You also need to have them far enough out to be able to intercept that fast moving transport.
It is a good tactic to check your trade advisor the turn that you build a wonder. Often the AIs have also been building it and get a load of cash for it.

Exactly. Why would anyone want to do a beserker rush? Ok the graphic is cool but they aren't exactly much more use than macemen. They are a poor UU and the Vikings have a poor UB as well. Trait combo is good though.

The prat is obviously the best UU. It is an early UU, has an extremely long usefull life and it has +2 strength points!
