Nicely done, it'll be interesting to see what direction you take this in. Naval maps don't offer clear strategies to get in a winning position (at least to me). Are you going to try to vassal Lincoln or tech and trade peacefully? Or even better yet see what information the caravels bring back.

I like what you called the alternative site for the second city but you might want to check what the yield is for settling on the plains cow. If you dont lose too much that'd be a pretty great future bureaucracy capitol with same number of floodplains as the 'alternative' site, two less dead...

This pdf has a lot of nice information and the AI bonuses are detailed on p. 74. I dropped a level in difficulty when I transitioned to k-mod as well but have become better a player now... well usually... well more than half the time sheesh. I don't believe there is a change in the AI bonuses...
