Hm i am pretty sure the warrior is removed from the production table as soon as the swordman (or its civ dependant special units) became available from iron works. In the same way the slinger gets removed when archery got researched. I mean your quoted code line tells what you said so..you speak...

Oh, ok..i try to explain it more clear then :) Uhm say you finished researching bronze working and found out the only iron is in the enemy part of the map or at least nowhere near your own territory, not a single one. That would mean that as soon as you research iron works, you are unable to...
