Its obvious why we got leaders like Tubman and Lovelace. But I am not going to state it.
They will try to sell us leaders like Elizabeth 1st, Victoria or Churchill etc in paid for DLC further down the line.
They even put Britain and Lovelace behind a pay wall.
I too had never heard of Tubman...
The whole idea of a leader can play any Civ is totally absurd. They should stick to their historic countries. EG Lovelace could still have been a British leader. But I would rather have Elizabeth 1st or Churchill. That is the 1st reason why I don't like Civ 7.
Reason no 2 is the being forced to...
Like you say Egypt is still around today.
This is why I would rather play just as Egypt through the whole game instead of being forced to swap Civ's after the antiquity age ends.
They should have just given the player the choice to either stay with their current Civ or move to a new one.
They...
Switching Civ's is one of the reasons why I hate this version of Civilization. Its not "will you build a civilization that stands the test of time". The new Civ you switch to all have different bonuses etc. I don't want to be forced to play a new Civ at each age change. I want to play one Civ...
Not that long ago I started a game on a TSL Earth map in, I think Civ 6. But it may have been Civ 5, I can't remember now. But I started as Elizabeth 1st on a TSL Earth map.
It turned out that I was stuck on the tiny Island of Britain for many turns because I had to wait till I had researched...
I disagree. I loved connecting my cities with roads and rail using workers. Building farms etc. If you wanted to build a road to a far off land, to aid movement of your units. You could do that.
Well, yes, I don't expect developers to just reproduce a previous version with new graphics. But, on the other hand, look at all the remastered versions of games that keep coming out. Oblivion Remastered being the latest one. People buy them, so they continue to make remastered versions of old...
Just checked, and found that the last time I played Civ 7 was on 3rd June. That's an indication of the apathy I have with this version. I used to love the Civ games. I played every one on Amiga and PC. I consider Civ 2, 3, 4 and 5 to be the best. I think the devs started to lose their way with...
Well, I hate religion in Civ 7. I find that once I get to a certain point in the game, it becomes a constant battle to stop the other civ's converting my towns and cities to their religion. Even if I convert my city back, I find that a few turns later, its been converted to another civ's...
I just want most of the leaders to be actual leaders that actually ran their respective countries. You know. Kings, Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers etc. But, I guess we all know that they are saving most of those for paid for DLC packs.
I would prefer to have leaders that were actual leaders politically.
Like I said, Kings, Queens, Presidents, Prime Ministers etc.
I haven't actually done a count up. But, how many leaders are in Civ 7, that were not political leaders in real life?
I was more saying that half the leaders were not political leaders in that sense of the word.
You know, the ones that were not presidents or prime ministers etc.
Perhaps I shouldn't have said DEI hires.
But it grates me that we get leaders like Ada Lovelace for Britain, instead of someone like...
