OP sounds like a colossal waste of energy and resources. You'll never make everyone happy in this fake outrage online meta. Solution: include an army painter like the dawn of war games or homeworld 2.
I've been poking around for info about the ai but am coming up dry. Has it been discussed at all yet? I'd love to know if it will actually be able to play the game competently or if it's going to be another "lol that's hard, lets just let it cheat" kind of job.
Meritocracy and FP both work on annexed cities with courthouses. They don't work on puppets or annexed cities without courthouses (occupied).
The resources & happiness city breakdown amounts display unhappiness unmodified by the presence of courthouses. You'll notice that adding up the totals...
I find that freedom-arsenal or autocrat-gunboat make it effortless. Barring that, timing the international games to pass on the last session before the first world leader cycle comes up and hitting silver is a great help. Tbh commerce is way better than patronage because you can use gold for...

Please report...
I'm looking for info on how exactly the governor decides what tiles to work on a gold focus. Specifically for puppeted cities, if it works differently from owned/annexed. I've seen them do dumb things like work a 2f coastal tile over a plains trade post. I've had cities with multiple gold mines...
With enough ranged units you can conquer anything. Hard to give specifics without knowing what era you're in but crossbows-cannon-artillery-bombers are the things you need. Never fear the ai they are horribly bad at warfare.

You can roll wroclaw with the forces you already have there. As for the rest WTH 101 oil where are the battleships? Against battleship and destroyer there is 0 defense.
Interesting. So if I were to capture/raze a 4th city, then found my "real" 4th city (technically 5th owned), THEN finish tradition, would I only receive 3 aqueducts because I burned my "4th" city down already?
