Contrary to a couple opinions here I think Religious Victory should be removed from the game.
Religion should be restructured to be more like what they tried to do with secret societies. No one religion will ever become "the" religion of the world (except maybe agnostic) but it does a fabulous...
Not seeing a lot of love for CivIII but IMO it had by far the best multiplayer. I played way too many games on the ladder and the variety of choices was great. You had your basic cton (a mod where you lose one city and your out for those that didn't play), future start games were big, OCC was...
It's been stated several times as fact here that the AI can see all resources and luxuries from turn 1 so I would call that cheating. Intentionally designed cheating but still cheating.
Bald statements like this do not meet the criteria laid down in the 1st post and are likely to be deleted --NZ
I generally like to have enough cities to put a governor in each one. So 6-8 is my goal. If a map gets crowded early I'm fine with anything 4 or above. Very rarely I'll find myself alone on fantasy island and I'll balloon to 10 or more.
Any civ can easily win a Diplo victory. I got a new laptop so I decided to get a diplo win with every civ just for fun. I'm 7 for 7 so far.
I actually kind of hope this signals the end of Civ VI...IF they do it right. Do your final polishing for the complete edition, GIVE THE MODDERS WHAT THEY...
I'm not sure if this has been suggested or not but Religion should work like spies do. Produce a missionary embed him in a city, give him some missions, and let him go to work. This current system of zealots and heretics throwing lightning bolts at each other non stop all over the world is just...
I can see how a Civ purist would be disappointed with NFP but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. I look at the game modes as similar to playing with House Rules. I think most of the modes give Civ a more arcadey feel compared to the way Civ regularly plays. I think that is partially Firaxis'...
IMO ( Iam frequently wrong) Greece (Gorgo > Pericles) or Poland for extra Wildcard slots. China for easier inspirations, eurekas, and wonders. Elanor of course to flip free cities. Really any civ that has a science or culture buff would be decent.
47% sounds about right. Antiquity sites are created from battles, tribal villages, ect. The AI tend to not bother with these as much. I've found an un-cleared tribal village right out side an AI city on turn 200. I think there is something in the code that the AI will only clear a tribal village...
At first I thought the idea was pretty brutal, but I've changed my perspective on it and now find it rather interesting. Instead of looking at them as cities I consider them colonies now. You screw around too much and they revolt against you. If you have spent the entire life span of Civ VI...
