reread and it seemed confusing... just to clarify,
I have the windows version of the game...
he has the mac version...
Is there an issue with cross-platform play...
I am fairly sure other games on steam support this feature... (L4D I think)
Sorry if this has been answered before but I did not find anything with search.
My brother in law wants to get Civ 5 for his mac and wanted to know if he could play against me but I have seen nothing about this topic on any site or forum. Is this possible?
Thanks.
Exactly... I do what I call the "Happy Meal Test"...
Would I rather eat a combo at a fast food restaurant or make a PB&J sandwich and buy some possibly overpriced DLC that I can enjoy for considerably longer....
Works too often, actually.... and ends up being healthier for me. ;)
...but you have to admit this is a MUUUUUUUUCH better deal than that map dlc junk they tried to sell earlier this month...
Hopefully they are learning...
Thought Id share since this is the cheapest price I have ever seen a game go for...

If you are playing the campaign in the new beta of the game, the crystal part is a section you cannot complete yet.... they are adding the complete campaign story later before the actual version 1.1 is released...
While this is pretty cool, I'm a little sad the middle earth maps don't get similar (if not more) fame. I have truly enjoyed playing on them and basing my town names on where I colonize... MMmmmm... Loregasm....
This may be common practice that I don't know about, but I tried out a new set of options that made for a really stressful but fun way to play....
I started a game using a tiny map with 22 civs on it and set the only win condition as domination. I also put on the crazy Barbarian modifier...
I thought you meant is Rock Band 3, a game that is being released that builds upon what worked in previous games, adds new features, and addresses community complaints directly, proving that game companies can still make good games...
a counter to the Civ5/Fallout Vegas thread...
However...
I played Civ 1 and returned for Civ V, but before I did this I played the demo on steam of Civ IV BTS to see if I felt like I could jump right in to Civ V.
The demo took place entirely in space and was pretty cool.
Was the space section in Civ IV added when they added BTS or was it...
My time between turns was bearable until I tried a HUGE map... that was rather nerve-racking so I saved my game around turn 300 and will go back when the turn lag gets fixed... All other map sizes are decent... small/tiny/duel are awesome....
