@Tatran Yeah we are talking about the vanilla version, thanks for clarifying. I didn't know that it wasn't the same with BTS. But does it changes anything? Can you actually destroy the capitol to prevent the win? Cause that would be awesome (I liked the way it played out in Civ3).
@shakabrade not true in Civ4. Slamming the capitol does'nt destroy the spaceship like in Civ3. Even destroying their Appolo Program doesn't work. You gotta destroy entirely their hammer production basically.

Bottomline, don't let the AI play their build game and be as aggressive as possible, as early as possible. And if you fail preventing them from getting to the top of the tech tree, try to nuke them out of their plans (more like a failsafe solution).
I would say Ivory for the lulz of an early ElePult rush pumped by Slavery. But if I'm going for a peace build, River and Corn is the nuts for growth and fast worker prod.

A settler costs 200 hammers in this mod. Pretty much invalidates any settler REX strategy. It seems far more valuable to invest in military units and conquer cities instead of founding them (as you are going to need lots of units to defend your border cities anyway).
