Yay troll threads. I wonder what exactly trollers are looking for when they know exactly the kinds of responses that they're gonna get. Plus, don't they know they make us feel better by whacking their silly post into the ground?

You should really check out the Beyond the Sword update. Though not even by a long shot are all of your suggestions present in the update, there are some of them that I read and had to go back and look to make sure I wasn't making up the fact that they were coming soon in the latest update...
The Quick Cottage thing makes a Cottage basically worth more :commerce:. This will make Cottages far more powerful in the early game, changing the balance of the SE vs the CE. I don't think that's so much of a good idea.
The loss of the mine capability has more interesting effects, however...
Doesn't really fit the theme (Paganism, Barbarism, Decentralization, etc.), though I guess "Ad Hoc" would be half decent.
What about "Unilateral"? Anything that references emotional decision making of the whole civilization would also work well, I think.

I became a fan with CivII, then got really excited a few years later when CivIII was announced... and by then it was too late for me. I have all incarnations of Civs II, III and IV, but do lack the original.
Reading up on the Succession Games seems to be helping my strategy...
