How to launch the ingame worldbuilder

Add competing CS by specific CS, or just as add_player: CS? I did the second and added starting locations for random CS on the map, but they didn't show. Is getting the appropriate number for the map size essential?

How to launch the ingame worldbuilder

Did you do it with actual cities, or with starting locations? I tried adding starting locations both on the map and through the player window, but they didn't show up in the game.

How to launch the ingame worldbuilder

I took a randomly generated map, made modifications to it, and created/located the modinfo/config files labeled TZ as suggested here. However, I can't seem to get the mod to show up in the game menu in order to add it as a playable map. When you reference copying the multiplayer and tutorials...

    renaming/creating new natural wonders?

After reading through the various modding tutorials, I was a little surprised not to find information on a couple of simple map edits. I'm more of a map generator than a modder, so I don't want anything too fancy - but I'm wondering if it's possible to rename existing natural wonders or...

    World Builder Question

This sounds very, very appealing. Is the process easy to explain?

    Worldbuilder/scenario loading

Found it, thanks. The game has been saving maps in two different places - I had moved them to the steamapps/common/civ5/assets/maps folder with the other .lua files and .map files. Moving them back to the blank folder from my documents popped up the scenario radio button, in case anyone else...

    Worldbuilder/scenario loading

Where do you mark it as a scenario? Does this need to be done in worldbuilder, or is it possible to mark it as such through setup? I'm not seeing a blue circle. Which of the many loading screens does it pop up in?

    Worldbuilder

I haven't had any luck with that. Does the WB have to be saved as a mod file rather than as a map? In order to have the saved map show up as an option, I have to go into advanced setup, and none of my saved settings or start points seem to carry over. The path I've followed is: (Using...

I am, but I don't know how to do it. I thought I had fish out there, but I guess not. There are whales, which are considerably more rare and valuable. I'll add some seafood to both locations.

Personally, I think the spawn in Marmara is worth playing around with. It has the additional advantage of not putting the Ottomans in immediate conflict with Arabia, which seems to happen most of the time.

Gives new weight to the question, 'Is the Pope Catholic?', doesn't it?

I've been running Dutch starts to see how the game plays out, and I've noticed the Ottomans have been very strong in most of them. They've rarely taken Constantinople, but typically control all of Anatolia and expand south into the Levant, which is a considerable improvement over where they...

Thanks a lot for the map. I readily admit I don't know North Africa as well as some of the other parts covered, and this makes some fixes obvious. I'll try to get an updated map out next week. As far as the dynamic resources go: It's a good idea, but I worry about the effects on city...

Let's keep that schematic and play around with the resource placement. I'll see if I can come up with a less friendly resource distribution.

I'm sorry for responding only to this part of your post, but this is a really good point. Some colonies were very profitable for their host nations - and some of the things that we've represented as colonial projects, such as the Inca/Aztec conquests, are essentially direct cash deposits into...
