I asked myself the same question and I think I nailed the answer. I like to immerse myself in games (whether you want it or not, we pretty much all do it although I know "it is just a game!"). So nuking some computers cities and inhabitants isnt a big deal because they are not flesh and bones...

Muertix, I discovered last night that you can hit "g" to call the governor menu. There you can personalize the production. It's not perfect, but quite good. Now I can oder my cities never to build air or naval units and focus more on happiness.

Sorry, but I dont feel good about this patch. I visited the website and dont like what I saw (especially the big picture of Hitler). I know it's a patch for a game but honestly, I will never dowload it and install it. It really makes me uneasy. To me this patch seems to glorify fascism...

Adam, what I do to upgrade is go see the military advisor, then sort by units and upgrade indiviually by right clicking Do you know if I could upgrade them all at once? I dont have time to read manual as I barely have time to even play the game itself :(

Thanks to all of you for the enlighting advice. I'm eager to start building my first fortress, mix up troops, and use fast troops to fight back from my fortified city. You gave me all the answers and now I wish I could go home and play civ :)

How do you prevent pillage from those same swarms of crappy enemy units? If you leave your town to attack them you leave your town less protected and you get your units killed. Having a catapult doesnt do much. Is it possible to attack a nearby unit WITHOUT leaving the town?
