    Welcome New Members

For people who like turn-based strategy but thought that Civ5 didn't really do it well enough, they may want to give Warlock: Master of the Arcane a go. It has just been released and it seems to do the tactical combat and 1 unit per hexagon better than Civ5 by most accounts. Also, there is...

Publisher: pls explain 80USD Australia price on Steam

Rule No. 1 to myself - Don't get too emotional. ;) Elemental *is* worth a try, and they have already made some good improvements. :) Best regards, Steven.

Publisher: pls explain 80USD Australia price on Steam

One aspect that I think hasn't been covered yet is long-term profits and success versus short-term profits. It will be interesting in the months and years ahead which game does better - Elemental or Civ 5. It is possible that the Steam-ifying and making prices for some digital markets much...

What would be good settings for a first game of RifE 1.3 and Fall Under?

In my first game (didn't play through to completion or anything), I kept getting an error each turn about not being able to "ScrubFallout" or something similar. I have RifE 1.3 and the latest version of Fall Under. What is that error caused by? Best regards, Steven.

What would be good settings for a first game of RifE 1.3 and Fall Under?

Haven't really played any Civ4 for ages - I think I played FFH2 a number of months ago, but I've played very little vanilla Civ4 or BtS. In fact I think I only bought BtS to play FFH2. :) Is the achievements panel in RifE and if so, is it any different to vanilla FFH2? Best regards, Steven.

    The empirical game-balancing thread

Could you perhaps get this thread stickied so it doesn't fall off the radar? And maybe a more intriguing title? :) Best regards, Steven.

What would be good settings for a first game of RifE 1.3 and Fall Under?

That is, ErebusContinent settings, player settings and game settings (including allowed Victory Conditions)? There is just so much, I don't know where to start! :) Best regards, Steven.

Rise from Erebus 1.30 Bug Thread

With regards to the Werewolf+Slave bug from one unit, does Denev's Single Afterlife modification for FFH2 (part of the modmods at http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=342018) help at all, or has the code regarding slaves, rebirth and werewolves, completely changed from FFH2 to RifE...

Playing on hexes: Notes from Battle for Wesnoth

Try wesnoth-xp for 1.8.0 (talked about here), with a smoothing setting of 3 and damage split ratio at 0%, and see what you think. =) Less likely to get total hits on you/total misses on others, but you still need to watch out for enemy units you are attacking who are in high defense locations...

Playing on hexes: Notes from Battle for Wesnoth

Something interesting for Wesnoth players is the Experimental branch of Wesnoth 1.8. :) Wesnoth-XP allows you to choose damage calculation settings (accessed by the General tab in Preferences). "Split ratio %" is the percentage, based on defense of unit being attacked, of damage that is...

    Denev's advanced rules mod

Thanks denev, now you've even updated your mod-mod with all the other of your improvements! =) What I'm looking to edit now is War Weariness settings for different civs, units, types of units and WW for enemy/friendly units killed (especially outside home territory). Do you know which XML...
