I never build Neighbourhoods because of the spy/partisan issue. Aqueducts on the other hand are really handy much earlier, especially when combined with IZ, so I build them much more often.

I had the same problem and I can’t seem to bypass the launcher (I’ve tried and for some reason it just doesn’t work). I’ve turned off barbarian clans, that seems to have stopped the crashes.

I’ve downloaded this game from GOG. It was always my favourite but I’d forgotten just how amazingly good this game is. It’s made me realise just how completely rubbish BE really is. The characters are so well formed and the Wonder vides still give me the chills. Unlike many Civ games, SMAC...
