Might it have something to do with the fact that I'm playing a saved game that had been started during version 1.00?

I also got a bug where when I loaded a game that was in the year 2016, the game thought it was 2006, but it still said "34 turns left!" Other than that, all the other bugs I've experienced are just carry-overs from the pre-patched version.
