I'm with you, Blac. It makes the whole road building thing seem much more realistic to me. Roads are expensive to maintain. Paving the whole continent just wasn't an option back in the day. Also, it encourages the player to make strategic decisions about road building. Just another layer...

Take some of the things that were lost in Civ 4 and put them back. For examples: wonder movies and end game recap. And how about making it so that the game remembers the settings I used last time so I don't have to remember for the 50th time to set my speed on quick?
