You didn't mention the brand of processor. In my experience, win 2000 (4.0 should be the same) with an AMD processor just doesn't cut it. Now yes, it's supposed to be 100% compatible, but something causes AMD machines to run like slugs up-hill.

Eric most likely has the 1.21 patch. I agree though, i've been following this since day one, and have yet to pick it back up. Not turning out too great.

You can't copy it directly, it has copy protection on it. Now, there is a way to make it work, but I'm not gonna tell you how. This is the way pirating happens.

Yep, no launching after the game is over (pisses me off in its own right). I had nearly won the game as a military victory, knocked 5 of the 7 other civs off the map, then the game was over. I kept on playing, just to destory everybody for the fun of it, and decided "what the heck, I'll build...

It's weird. Sometimes it works just like it's supposed to. You zoom in on a city, right click an improvement, and up pops a little menu with two choices. Sure enough, the second one is "sell improvement". But, sometimes it doesn't work at all. You right click on it, and nothing pops up. I...

Come to think of it, when I had played the game without the patch, then installed the patch they did change clothes. Now that I've installed the game then immediately installed the patch, my workers still look the same! I didn't really notice it though untill you brought it up.

One thing you can do is wait untill you have a continent pretty well settled until you build your forbidden palace. After that, build it smack in the middle, or in the middle of you best producing cities. This will mean for a little while you will probably have very little corruption there...

I've downloaded the map (grrr, way to go Pop's, don't put spaces in the filename!!! :mad: ) I'm installing Civ on XP, I think I know why it wasn't working! So if I don't get back within the next 6 hours, it didn't work and I'm not taking the turn.
