AH right so go straight for knights is best bet then, i normally build 3 cities straight away and a couple of workers then try blast out my attacking units and get them inthe city closest to Germany ready for when they try come past. problem is its just constant battles then near that city...

think the only thing i havent tried so far is spamming a load of swiss mercinaries and sending them over to keep their attacking units busy

hi, ive been trying to play this conquest for weeks now as the dutch, no matter what i do the Germans just spam me with everything, i build 3 new cities straight away to get more troops but i cant even hardly get into their territory, i drop down to regent level an get to knights pretty quickly...

just had a thought about save files, i can only find 1 and it looks like its the only conquest game ive played, i never play them so is it only conquest games that you can only attach files from

decided to start a new game, used 13 swordsmen to attack a city with 6 spearmen in and lost all 13 without killing a single spearman, just makes no sense whatsoever especially when previous saves im getting infs killed by medieval infantry and long bowmen

i only have +6 attacking units though, i have no choice

well ive just turned it off in a huff, had 15 artillary and bombarded a city down to 2 red line Mech Infs, had 4 guerillas, 2 cavs and 5 inf waiting to take it and didnt even kill 1 of them doubt i'l be back on it for a while after that

when i click attach files i still cant find the civ saves, i got it through steam so is there something i have to do there? the last save i done i had just wiped out the empire above me but the ones below me where at war with them as well but the didn't reach any of there cities before i took...

i dont play any other victory other than wipe everyone out, whenever i add other victories the game crashes after the victory so dont get the option to carry on and see if i could take them. ive turned off cultural city captures because i was getting annoyed going through half an empire fighting...
