i've downloaded quite a few custom units and i dont know how to get them into my game

i've downloaded both patches and installed them...i can start a new game no prob...and there isn't an error message when it fails to load it just goes back to my desktop

Everytime I try to load my saved games it wont work. I cleared tha cache and it still doesnt work. Someone please help:eek:
