@Pit2015 It would be a lot better if this was fixed in the main mod. Otherwise uncommenting these tags would be necessary every single time, and that is error-prone: https://stackoverflow.com/a/3677103
I am quite sure that this should also cause the same problem in the main mod, not to mention...
@Pit2015 Commenting out the latitude/longitude information happened in rev 11642 (apparently by scvijic). That would already explain the problems here. I don't think a modmod is the place to fix errors in the mod itself.
@Pit2015 Any non-linear longitude- or latitude-mapping means examining the continent-limits both in UEM and in a "regular" map. And if the same longitude or latitude must be mapped differently w.r.t. different continents, then even the implementation itself becomes a bit nasty. Not to mention...
If the proportions of the different climate zones are different from a "regular" Earth map, this would get a lot more involved. Whereas as long as it is only a factor to be considered, I can upload a new version of the modmod within a few minutes.
What I have done so far is that I have taken a...
Is the "space part" of the map larger than it used to be? I use the same algorithm that I think Raxo has used before, by which the space part should be about 5.5 times as large as the Earth part.
At least Python supports UTF-8 since 2.3 ( https://peps.python.org/pep-0263/ ), and Civ IV uses Python 2.4 ( https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/python-version.641198/post-15345804 ).
