Actually for me the Authority tree is much better for wide play than Progress. The Tribute policy is insanely good for wide play, and the extra production is exactly what is missing in new cities. But I must say, I almost never 'bully' city states. I feel like my army is in my cities for the...

I think Poland is the strongest that I know of, the only Civ I can play on Deity. Anybody knows of OP combinations? One really fun is Atzecs with the more barbarians option, on a medium map but only 4-5 civs: the whole map is painted by barbarians!

Maybe yield pops from religion, policies? For example progress gives gold when a citizen is born, and authority gold when border expands
