I requested a refund because I can't play multiplayer on their version of the game without patch 1.09. They refused. They expect me to keep their product in an unplayable state (can't play multiplayer). They lost my business forever.

So, I bought Civilization 4 from Direct2Drive. As everyone is finding out now, the Direct2Drive version of the game will not allow Patch 1.09 to be installed. Therefore I cannot play multiplayer with their product. So, I go to the mall and buy the same product from Gamestop. I install Patch...

I purchased and downloaded Civilization IV from Direct2Drive. I am able to download the 1.09 patch as prompted to do so in-game, but it does not allow me to install it. It seems to be only meant for the boxed retail version of the game. Will Direct2Drive be releasing a 1.09 patch for us soon...
