I get the same thing gibbon, and im not sure why either. However, take a look at the edit button to the right of the box. I haven't played with it much, but this might help. I'm looking to see if some other stuff might help. Keep me posted if you figure it out.

My real question is: how are the bones gonna work? I don't know if Civ4 uses the bones to move or what... If i could use character studio's biped for a human, that would be great, but i'm not sure if that will work. IF anyone has any info, please post. thanks

Maybe have it give two free techs, prequiste of electricity. Or have it produce a scientific leader every 20 - 25? turns. It expires with a tech nearby (atomic theory?) so it only produces one scientific great leader.
