Ever since civ1 I have had a struggle with how much time I would like to dedicate to civ games when they are important RL things to do. Sometimes ended up working all night because I spent too long playing civ. Often had arguments with my wife about how long I spent on the computer. I was sure...
I'm doing the demo. It's OK. civ4 is like a very old friend, I'm still a bit diffident with civ5. Potential is there though.
I miss the slider, it feels really SLOW to change my empire.
It feels like amuch slower game in general.
Whereas bananas/cows/sheep/rice make perfect sense to go to war over.
I agree with OP, salt is a sensibe resource to include. Without it you cannot preserve food, and therefore it is more important than the food itself.
Easy to mod though, so DIY.
thanks.
wow. I'm surprised that this doesn't attract more comment, it's the major change for me comparing civ5 to civ4. Losing macro control over the distribution of beakers and gold will completely change the play.
I've been playin civ since it came out, but I'veonly seen a little bit of the civ5 coverage so far. It looks like there is no tax slider anymore, is this right?
