    I didn't see this noted above, sorry if it's a repeat. I just started a game as Varn and I couldn't select fishing or beyond. It's using Seafaring (which says 'required tech of Never') as a prereq, and so the entire water tech tree is off-limits.

    Kael - FfH continues to be the only version of Civ I play, and I'm enjoying 2.011 so far, although I haven't gotten to too much of the new stuff yet. I was a bit dissapointed that the new tech tree wasn't in place yet in Light though. What phase is the tech tree revision planned for?

    Does anyone else feel there are just too many civics? I like them, but I find that there comes a point every game where my eyes just glaze over as I look at the choices. If you are a medium size empire (say 10-15 cities), at war with one civ, trying to stay balanced and not go into total war...
