After playing every version of Civ and seeing the reviews, I almost did not buy the game. One of the main issues for me was the price. I loved Civ 1 and spent a lot of time with Civ 2 (and free civ for that matter) and after it moved on I started to play less and less of each version I bought...

In Civ7 I know that goody huts have been changed to discoveries and by dumb luck during my first run I noticed the visual hint when they are in view. In the last game my setup gave me warriors at the same cost and speed as scouts. The weird part was taking this approach I saw no discoveries...

Just annoyed me with Civ when you play a standard game, you rocking most of the map and then an AI will steamroll with religion. Just don't enjoy the religion mechanics and would rather not have to play them.

Looks interesting but would rather not have to be concerned with religion, do you know if you can turn religion off?

So first up I can't believe the follow post got locked on Steam. Bit of a wow moment for me. Hopefully, I won't get cancelled here. I love Civ, hopefully played every variant and even 3 I found fun. Now I'm not a deep player and as I have a busy life I don't have a lot of time to play. So...
