Same thing happened to me, after a while the graphics start to get weird, and then it just goes black or reboots.
My computer:
Pentium 4 CPU 2,4 GHz, 1 GB Ram
Windows XP
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200
OK thanks, I'll look for that. But I still don't understand why the in-game tree doesn't use an arrow if a tech is required (as the paper tree do use an arrow).
My oppinion after the first game of civ4:
I think the new graphic is much worse than civ3. Maybe it's a matter of getting use to it, but why on earth use 3d in a turnbased strategy game? The purpose of the graphic chosen should be to make it as clear as possible.
All the units look the same...
The tech tree doesn't work right. Alot of the techs requires techs even though the (in-game) tech tree indicates that they don't need them. Like when I try to research optics, the game insist that I first discover compass! (and I've noticed alot of other cases like this).
But since the paper...
As I remember it the definition of a city was "between 6-12 pop's" and when it grew larger it became a metropol (that could be much bigger than 12, indeed).
