It's a good question. I really hope it does.
Did the MI ever use Nukes in Civ 4 ( I don't remember seeing it ) ?
I do remember getting nuked in Civ 3 but only in response to my first use as far as I remember.
"The only ones who are overtly positive about it seem to be newbies to the series, but I am sure that the fun will wear off very soon for them, and if they like Civ V they'll be blown away by Civ IV. "
Do you have any evidence for this rather juvenile sweeping statement ?
I have been...
"Overall Conclusion: If you are a CIV IV fan, you will most likely hate this atrocity of a "sequel" "
What a totally ridiculous conclusion !
I have loved playing all versions of Civ over the years and I am really enjoying this one. there are many people like me.
You have listed...
been playing since early morning here ( British  ).
I am really enjoying it ; I have purchased three copies and I am looking forward to some serious MP LAN play with friends tomorrow.
having a great time.
I play a lot of multi-player with friends and such at home but not much on-line ( and I don't claim to be that good at it ).
However , my point isn't bashing Civ IV ; what I am trying to say is that I welcome a real change.
If it isn't as good as Civ IV then so be it , I can play...
Sitting here in the UK not able to play ; I loaded up Civ 4 BTS last night. To be honest it was a totally boring experience. I have played it to death and speaking for myself I am looking forward to something different.
Civ IV got very old very quickly. Lots of detail but quite easy to...
Tectonics has been my favourite map script over the past two years ; it generates much more interesting landscapes. Lots of choke-points and mountain ranges.
The start positions doe tend to be a little unbalanced but I can't say that bothers me too much.
Its a long shot but I find the game very unstable if I play anything apart from pangea maps. The size dosn't seem to matter - if its a pangea I can finish a huge epic game without a problem. Other type such as Continent tend to crash straight away.
Hi ,
not sure if you mean loading the game or re-loading a saved position. If its the latter then one thing that works for me is to always start a new game and then load the previous saved game from within the new game. If I load a saved game from the main menu it crashes every time...
My games on the whole are ok, some crashes and graphics glitches but not too bad. The problems arrise when I load a saved game. Civ staggers into life and then falls over within 3 or 4 seconds every time.
I can avoid this problem if I always start a new game with the same settings first...
