The new patch was originally described as being not compatable w/ win2k/XP (as of 7Dec01). I just noticed today that a new version of the patch is up to correct an exe problem, but there is NO disclaimer regarding win2k/XP compadability.... is this now compatable or not????? At the very least...

This whole expansionist minded AI is probably the most annoying thing in this game! I did recently post a question that might give decent solution.... Let the bastards defect to your culture, even if it's a horrible city that impinges on three of your good ones or is in the middle of a tundra...
They are a great idea, just quite underpowered.... it takes several of them to make a difference if your defending an ally or just trying to thwart the growth of someone else.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for.... I've noticed that the building of a settler will stop until the city is large enough, IF the city is growing. The disbandment of the city if it is small and not growing when building a settler will be quite useful....
